Suns Blast Trail Blazers, 132-100
The Phoenix Suns defeated the Portland Trail Blazers, 132-100, at Phoenix Suns Arena on Monday night.

The two squads checked in on the heels of impressive 8-2 marks over their previous 10 games, but the Suns (20-10) looked like the sharper unit while building a nine-point halftime lead. However, the dynamic of the contest truly changed in the third quarter, when the Trail Blazers (18-12) let what had been a reasonably manageable deficit devolve into a 29-point hole. That made the final period a mere formality and significant amount of playing time for Portland's second unit.

Damian Lillard paced the Trail Blazers with 24 points and complemented them with seven assists. Nassir Little followed with 18 points, adding five rebounds, two blocks and one steal. Gary Trent furnished 11 points, two rebounds and one steal. Carmelo Anthony delivered 10 points, three boards and two assists. Enes Kanter mustered just six points but also hauled in 15 rebounds.

Devin Booker led the Suns with 34 points, supplementing them with four rebounds and four assists. Deandre Ayton contributed 19 points, five rebounds, two assists, two blocks and one steal. Dario Saric compiled 14 points, nine rebounds and one assist. Cameron Johnson poured in 13 points, while Malik Bridges registered 10 points, five assists, two rebounds and two blocks.

The Trail Blazers remain on the road and visit the Denver Nuggets on Tuesday night, while the Suns remain home and tangle with the Charlotte Hornets on Wednesday night.
